The Client
Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd is one of the UK’s leading driven steel sheet piling contractors, with their head office in Preston and a regional office in London, they specialise in all aspects of driven sheet piling including permanent sheet pile basements, all forms of temporary sheet piling works and sheet pile installation.
We have been working with Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd for over fifteen years, counting the company amongst our very first clients. During this decade and a half, Quentin James Design has provided Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd with creative design services including Company Brochure Design and Print, Creative Advertising Design, Exhibition Stand Design and all manner of digital marketing expertise.
The Brief
In 2016 the management team at Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd tasked us with the job of overhauling their online presence. A proposal was submitted to the client detailing plans to develop a new WordPress Website Design to be built on the mobile responsive Bootstrap framework. The new website would offer the company a scalable content management system in WordPress, which could be updated and managed to offer a high degree of ‘future proofing’, data portability and security.
Creating a WordPress Website Design based on the Bootstrap framework would ensure the website was fully mobile responsive and compatible with all major desktop browsers as well as all major mobile and tablet browsers, negating the need for a separate ‘mobile theme’.
In addition, Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd, wanted to maximise their on-page Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) opportunities as well as include Social Media sharing tools and links to their fledgeling social media accounts. We were later asked to assist Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd with their social media strategy and its implementation across Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
WordPress Website Design
Our solution was to create a bespoke WordPress Website Design which echoes the technical and industrial aspects of the sheet piles and sheet piling process. The new WordPress Website Design showcases the company’s products and services, with numerous detailed case studies and a frequently updated latest news section.
To aid with our integrated Search Engine Optimisation strategy, we added an SSL Certificate and a comprehensive, fully configurable WordPress SEO Plugin. Social Media sharing tools were included and links to the client’s Social Media accounts feature on every page of the new website design.

Company Brochure Design
During the past fifteen years, we have designed and printed several versions of the client’s company brochure. In addition to company brochure designs, we have produced and printed several technical manuals and documents detailing sheet piling plant, sheet pile techniques, products and services. This has involved Quentin James Design commissioning professional photography and copywriting as part of these in-depth projects.
