Celebrating Fifteen Years in Business

In June 1998 Quentin James Design was founded and this year we’re celebrating fifteen continuous years in business in the graphic design, website design and creative services industry.

To celebrate, we thought about having a graphic design themed birthday party but our clients are spread across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, United States and further afield, meaning many would not be able to attend a shindig here in Preston, Lancashire. So we got creative and hit on really a neat idea. Traditionally, when it’s your birthday, your friends send you gifts but we thought since we enjoy working with all our clients so much, we’d send them a little something to mark the occasion, meaning everyone could celebrate with us.

And so, #secretproject15 was born!

“Happy 15th birthday to Quentin James Design. Edible gift much appreciated! Reckon our association is 12 years?”

We wanted to send gifts that were fun, unusual and handcrafted, so we enlisted the help of Susanna, a master cake maker, sugar craft expert and purveyor of all things sweet and sweeter. With the ovens baking the second batch of bespoke, hand cut cookies, the first batch were decorated with icing to match our corporate blue colour, then topped off with a ‘Q’ containing a number ’15’. Once all the delicious cookies were baked and decorated, they were individually bagged and secured with matching blue and white ribbon. It’s the attention to detail that makes these cookies and our designs so special!

“Just received the cookies today – thank you very much. Congratulations on 15 years – that takes some doing, especially in the current climate.”

Each pair of handcrafted ‘Q’ cookies were carefully packaged along with a specially designed ‘Thank you’ note and despatched via the Royal Mail postal service to all of our lovely clients.

“Thanks for the cookies and here’s to another 15 years!”

We sincerely hope that all the cookies arrived at their intended destinations intact and that the recipients enjoyed them with their mid-morning coffee, after a hearty lunch or as a mid-afternoon snack.
